Easy Access Feature???

Was at the dealer yesterday for an hour or so with two salesman trying to figure out how to get the aforementioned feature turned on. It supposedly moves the seat 2" forward and back to help you get in and out of the truck. We couldn't get the feature activated. We checked a couple other trucks, including King Ranches which should definitely have it. Mine has every other possible feature so I don't know why it wouldn't have this.

Do any of your trucks do this. Move the seat back when you take the key out? The feature is on page 160 in the manual.

Just throwing this out there... Do these new trucks have programmable seat memory? I've only ever seen this feature in a Jeep and it was tied to the seat memory...maybe similar where you need to program a memory setting to get it to work?

Mine has programable seats. No idea about the auto move back function. That may be for shortys if the seat is touching the wheel or something.

It does have memory seats. I wouldn't have even thought about the feature if I hadn't read about it in the manual. I programmed the memory seats. It also says that when you unlock the truck with the key fob then it will reset the seat to the memory position associated with that fob and it won't do that either.

I'm only wondering because the truck's loaded so it should have it and the two salesmen couldn't figure it out either. They said they'd call Ford for me and get the scoop.

Interesting. I may have to give it a try to see if I can figure it out.

This one is an easy program. Not sure of the page but it is a very simple procedure outline in your manual. I followed it and it was very easy.

That's the problem. I've followed the procedure in the manual. It states that you can change the feature in the message center, tried it and couldn't locate the place to change it. I've also done the procedure of cycling the ignition key and pressing buttons. Nothing changes. Unless I'm doing something wrong, I just don't understand why my truck (and three others on the lot) don't have it in the message center. Can you tell us where you found it?

If it helps (it'll only help you feel you're not nuts), my key fob isn't moving the seats, and if there's an easy access feature it's not doing its thing either. Only the memory button on the door works. The manual refers to all of these features.

Looking forward to what people have to think on this one.

I remember reading somewhere on another thread, that Job 2 trucks were going to have the entry assistance feature as an option. The 2010 F150's have this feature now, when you unlock and open the door...the seat retracts. I played with it when I got my F250 and was waiting for them to finish detailing it.

So leads me to believe job 1 trucks don't have it, but may be part of the up coming software update in January that's suppose to add some other additional features.
