Is anyone using this antenna? Does it work? Is it difficult to find a spot to keep the black box?

My question is does this thing work? If it does then why don't manufacturers use them in place of the whips which get damaged all the time? Just a thought, maybe I am too cynical...

If you planned on listening to just satellite radio I would take the whip off. the hidden antenna I had was crap.
