Unauthorized reflash

Got a new Bos plow put on and the dealer had to take truck to Ford for help on the head lights. Plow dealer called to tell me my truck was done and said while it was at Ford they fixed a recall. I asked what recall and he said a reflash so now you have more power. I couldn't believe it, I was going to wait awhile to see what others were getting for mileage first.

I was going to get the reflash if it would improve mileage but some are saying it made it worse. This Ford dealer should have asked if I wanted it instead of just doing it and saying it was a recall.

Yea I figured that but I would have rather gone to the Ford dealer where I bought the truck from.

in the end, the dealer should have asked the owner before the change was done.

Yeah, I agree with you on this, especially since the re-flash in not reversible.
