F-350 New 2.5" reciever qestion
For that have gotten their 350's, does the truck come with the 2.5" ---> 2" receiver adapter or do I need to find one?
I plan on pre-trading my current truck and since the dealer is 75 miles away I was thinking about trailer in my bike to the dealer, trading the truck, leave the trailer and ride home. Then when I am ready to pick up the new vehicle I can just ride my bike back and trailer home. |

Any other places to pick up the reciever sleeve? Does the dealership sale them?
I checked the big box stores today along with autozone and advance, no luck. |

Dealer "thinks" they can get them but wasn't sure. Try a trailer store. Otherwise find a U-Haul store. Make sure you trial fit it. Some are sloppy loose, some fit perfect, and some have to be hammered in. That what I got.

So the original question is for those that have gotten a 2011 truck, did it come with the receiver adapter. I asked because I know GM is supplying the adapter and was curious as to whether Ford was or was not.

If it CAME with one we wouldn't have told you where to GET one. So NO it doesn't come with one.

Mine didn't come with the adapter. I didnt realize it was 2.5" until after I got home or I would have asked the dealership for one. I picked up up at the trailer store for $10. One thing though.... I started to install it and I feel like once I wedge it in the reciever that there is no way I'll be able to get it back out to use a 2.5" hitch. What are your guys methods? I thought about greasing it up before putting it in.
