10,000 GVWR Package
Ford offers a 10000 GVRW package on the F350. my guess is to get around some states license fees above the 10k
Does anyone REALLY know what the difference is with the truck if you order with the 10000 package I can't seem to get a straight anwser from the sales person |

In Massachusetts anything above GVWR10000lb is commercial plate and Tax and annual registration fee will be accordingly to this sticker on the door… There is nothing different about actual truck…. Basically I am driving 350 with paperwork of 250…….

Exactly. Physically there is NO difference. Just a difference in registration fees. Now the mixed thoughts are whether or not you are going to get slammed at a weigh station if you are within the 350 GVRW but are over the reduced certified weight of 10,000 lbs. Fines could be hefty if you want to use the 350 as a 350.

Straight from the order guide-
10,000 GVWR PACKAGE (68D) Availability: • Optional on F-350 SRW Includes: • 10,000 lb. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating I guess it just makes you legal doesn't appear to be any difference on the truck. |
