New order time frame

I ordered a 2011 F-250 last week the order was submitted on Oct. 12th and this wait is going to be the death of me….Anyone know a realistic idea when I might see this truck come in the dealer says approx 60 days?

Probably more than that, but it is very hard to tell any more. Ford is going through a lot of change as is the whole industry. Some come quick, some come slow. Lots of it depends on the stuff you ordered with your truck one small part that order can hold up the whole thing just because Fords supplier hasnt given it to Ford yet. Also Fords new quality checks can hold up things really easily until the figure things out. Its really more luck of the draw.

My dealer told me 6-8 weeks, but if I order it with the rear window defroster that will be available in November the order will hold until the option is ready for the assembly line.

My dealer told me that the timing could decrease if a "stocK' truck like yours comes down the line then you can snag it and jump ahead. As was stated above, if you ordered an option and the parts aren't "ready" then you could get bumped back in line depending upon supplier delivery dates. Enjoy your new truck when it arrives!

Thank you for the feedback, this waiting game is going to be the worst! The only options I ordered that I would think could possibly hold it up would be the spray in bed liner and the 5th wheel prep package. My brother-in-law ordered one and they sold it to someone else before he was notified it had arrived, this is another thing that kinda stresses me. I am probably gonna camp out in the field across from the dealer a day or two before it arrives on the truck... Lol

Went to my dealer tonight, they offered me a whopping 3K off of MSRP.

Good Luck! The waiting is by far the worst. Ordered 08-30, invoiced 09/24, built 10-1, convoyed to NS Rail Yard 10/7... Sitting there since........ with no updated ETA and know one knows why....

Sc404, I work for the Railroad and there's no tellin what's going on. Freight has been pretty scarce lately it could be sitting in a yard track waiting on enough cars to build a whole train. Or the rail car it's in may have been bad ordered for something and need repairs (brakes, coupler, inspection) who knows.

I appreciate the info!! I just wish there was a way to get the truck, I dont need it shipped, I was within 30 of it twice over the last week! The dealer can't pick it up and NS isn't loading it up. I had to drop 1k to outfit a secondary vehicle to make that trip last week and have another the first weekend of Nov, that ones going to require a bigger vehicle. I could understand if the build was delayed due to whatever, but to have it sit for going on three weeks in a rail yard??? I'm not to happy now, but if I lose an incentive over the shipping delay, I'm really going to be hot!!!!!
