Going from 2010 to 2011? Anyone?

I have an 06 6.0 lariat now. I love it but its about time i upgrade. I love the 2011's I like how the center console is and the air conditioned seats, The comparments under the rear seat ect. I found a really nice 2010 at the same dealer im looking at the 2011. The 2010 is full loaded which is exactly how i want it. It has 2600 miles on it. The 2011 will end up being like 8k more. I dont know if i really wanna spend the money on it. Has anyone switched and LOVES the change?

Shouldn't the 2010 be quite a bit less than that if they are similar options especially if the 2010 is used?

I would never buy a 6.4. Thats just me. People say the 6.7 hasn't proved itself yet, but the 6.4 has proved to be junk imo, so why not get the new one save your self the gas money, and repair headaches. Even if it is junkier than the 6.4 (which it isn't looking that way) at least the fuel milage is a little better, and you have more power with a more refined truck.

the 6.4s get crappy mileage. i know a guy w/ a flatbed and lots of lites on his truck (he does wrecks) he has so many lites he has to have a 2nd alternator onit to run it (like 200 led bulbs) and he gets 6.6 mpg

I made the switch from a 2008 6.4 lariat, trust me, I've had 6 lariat's since 2000 and this 2011 is by far the nicest of them all. My grandpa has a lincoln pick up and a navigator and was pi$$ed when he got in my "work" truck and it had more bells and whistles then both of his lincolns. Go for 2011! The extra money is worth it. The milage is a heck of a lot better to.

fx4 and the round PowerStroke emblems are now gone!!

I just got rid of a 2009 6.4 it was terrible on fuel 10-maby 11 mpg if I babied it. Bought a 2011 250 4wd crew 8"bed in early Sep. Yesterday I put 250 miles on it 75-85mph I only have 800 miles got 17.1 mpg hand calculated. More power, rides bette,r and a lot more gizmos LOVE IT . Go for it.

What are you going to put on for miles in a month? Are you going to be pulling a trailer most of the time? If you are going to put a lot of miles on without a trailer, you could probably make the extra payment in fuel savings. Something to think about.

I know the 6.4 got horrible mileage stock, but i always averaged around 14-14.5 for the first 3k miles then i got home one day and there was a package at my door.. That night i guess someone stole my dpf/cat and stock intake so luckily the package had a dpf/delete pipe, sct, and an intake LoL.. Now i average around 19-21mpg with alot more power

2010 CC/SB FX4 Lariat.. Tuned By Eric@IDP and Matt@Gearhead

Thinking about getting rid of the stock 6.7 turbo?
Check this out... and research before buying
