6.7 prime pump?
Dealer couldn't tell me when I went for another test drive today.
Is the "button" behind the small pop out panel on the right side of the dash a prime pump? |

I believe that's an emergency fuel cutoff. Don't have the owner's manual in front of me to confirm though, sorry...

There is also an icon on the cover of a gas pump with a slash through it.

thats the Fuel shut off thing, i think if you roll the truck or something it trips that and that stops the fuel flow so when you turn the truck back over you have to push that button to restart it... I'm pretty sure they all have them

Could be then, every vehicle has some sort of rollover safety.
So are SD's so tough that you can roll them - push a button - and then drive home? I already have my on board for a DRW, this will be the icing on the cake! |

I am now thinking based or some reading (not just Ford) that this may be a reset for an inertia fuel cut off, not just a "roll".

It's a fuel reset for when you are involved in an accident. An impact will shut off the fuel pump preventing it from feeding a flame, or pumping fuel from a damaged vehicle resulting in a spill event. If the accident does not disable the vehicle, hitting the reset will enable you to drive it away.
