When did / does job 2 start?
I purchased my 2011 from the dealer stock, didnt have time to wait for one to be ordered. I started reading on here about "job 1" & "job 2". When did "job 2" start? I am assuming the only way to know which build I got would be to look at yr and month it was built?

If you got your truck in the last couple weeks, there is a chance a reflash for the computers is available. The dealers are supposed to do this to existing stock but some may have been overlooked.
Next time you are in for service BE SURE to request the reflash is done!! They can tell when they plug-in if your truck has had this and do it if not. This upgrade is very nice as it contains some great improvements to transmission behavior and adds a little more power to the engine. So far, this updated software is the only changes planned for the job2 trucks I have heard of. |

Soooo, it looks like the job 2 trucks will have a better leather (Lariat only) on the front seats along with some new options (12) for various models and the F350 dually gets a little more load rating plus the new software for all 6.7 models. A few new accessories are offered now too.
It seems unclear to me wether the premium leather seats for the Lariat are going to be A/Cd so that may be a take-back. I'll keep my cheaper leather and A/C seats in my truck. I read the only change to job 2, across the board, is going to be the software? I'm not trying to be a smarta$$ here but there doesn't seem to be any changes to job 2 6.7 other than the software, load capacity on F350 and more options available, plus one possible trade-off (A/Cd seats for premium leather). Thanks Fat Tire for posting the release. I hadn't seen it yet. |

I don't think there is going to be any leather quality changes. The current leather is still described as "premium." I think the only change is going to be the monotone.

How about fuel tank capacity increases on the Crew Cab Short Boxes.
Still just 25 gallons? |
