Dealer said 6.7 gets 25MPG True or False?

So I went to test drive a 2011 6.7 Crew cab 4x4 yesterday. The sale person and manager both claim that the 6.7 is getting 25mpg and 21MPG towing a 7500 pound load. I called bull**** on it as soon as it came out of his mouth and they were both were persistent that was not a lie. He also said the 6.4 is a stronger engine then the 6.7. So can anyone confirm is the MPG are correct or did I just happen to come across the dumbass sales person and manger. Thanks

Just because they work at a dealer doesn't mean they know what they're talking about. I was told by a salesman and sales manager that there was never a Harley Davidson edition F450 built and they only made the Harley truck for 2005-2007 and my 04 Harley is a custom 1-off

Yeah he's a dumbass. Now as far as the 6.4L being a stronger engine I don't know, but I have heard the 6.4L was overbuilt to handling a lot of power. I'm sure the 6.7 is built the same way. I don't see Ford building a engine that won't hold up to 800tq.

Fuel efficiency is better than the 6.4 but not that good.

Here is a link to a Ford made video that talks about fuel economy. The video doesn't sound like any outlandish claims which is more real world. It may be possible to get really good fuel economy with the 3.31 axle ratio and no load driving 55-60 but most don't do that. The dealer claims may be slightly exagerated.

If you remove the waste of regen from your calculation, then you'd be at 25 highway.....
