F350 DRW Chassis Cab Horsepower

Just got my '11 F350 Chassis Cab. Waiting on bed to be completed. Why is the engine derated to 300HP on the chassis cab? Is this just a software derating or are there hardware parts that are different than the pickup?

Turbo is different

Damn they lower the hp by 100 on cab and chasis. That sucks.

Ya it does. The trucks that need all the power they can get have less than the daily driver truck that will never see any thing but city streets and no load.
