Aftermarket Dually Wheel Promblem
Im into black wheels on my duallys cause the trucks are usually black. The only one I have found that I like are the rockstars. I know they are very common but there are not many options for black dually wheels. Anyway I ordered some on 6-18-10 and they trickled in here over the past month and finally recieved the last one this morning. I went to the local discount to get them put on and they dont work. Since the new bolt pattern on the duallys are 8x200 all the wheels had to change. Anyway the rockstars I recieved were not hub centric nor were they cut to fit the acorn style lug nuts. So they dont work. I am in the process of getting them sent back. I was told this was the first set of 8x200 sent out and they apparently messed up. Has anyone else tried an aftermarket wheel on there dually (specificly rockstar). If so did you have the same problem? If another brand wheel, which one? Discount called around and talked to wheel pro and they claimed if those did not work there was not be a set out there that will work currently. Wheel pro also said it was the first set they heard being sent out and was surprised to get the phone call. I dont know how much they would know but I all I know and care about is they didnt fit on the truck after waiting 6 weeks.

I have had chrome rockstars on my 08 for 2 years now, same bolt pattern as the 11's. But i went through the same mess as you they sent 8x170x17" wheels at first, not sure if they even make a steel 17" inner for that bolt pattern
Anyway i would consider black american eagle's.. I will be trading for a black 11 soon and will prob go with them. I'm considering a single wheel truck just beacasue of the lack of wheel options for a dually, but i tow over 20,000 lbs at times

I know they are 8x200 and the factory lug nuts will work on the rockstars if they send you the right wheels, think they have been 8x200 since 2005 when they went with 17's. The new 450's are 8x225 17" wheels i think i cant even imagine trying to go aftermarket with them!

I stand corrected. I saw were they started using the 8x200. My bad
The ones they sent me are not hub centric so the factory lug nuts would not work. This is my third set of rockstar dually wheels and this set is the only one that has given me any issues. My other two duallys were no problem. Thanks for the info. I decided to change it up a bit and ordered the ultra wheels black Goliath. We will see how they look on the truck. Not to crazy about black wheels mixed with chrome in them but decided to give them a shot. I went through the same BS.I saved the emails where I stated I had a 2005 and to make sure they would fit. They sent 8/170's and I had heck getting the guy to believe they wouldnt fit.Said he'd never heard of 8/200.After I got him to pay the return shipping I finally get the right wheels, but the lugs wouldnt work.Luckily the tire shop had some that would work and charged me like $50 for em,kinda had me over a barrell since the tires were already mounted lol.
