SEIC and reverse sensors
I see on the XLT it says the Stationary Elevated Idle Control (SEIC) is not available with reverse sensors. Is this true on the Lariat as well?
Thanks! |

Yeah thats it. I miss read it. Still...I can't get the auto shutdown with the Lariat? Isn't this the function that will allow the truck to idle for 5 mins or so with no key to help cool the turbo?

Nope, its was originally a feature to meet California emissions on the 6.4's and now that the 6.7 is clean idle certified it does not need the idle shutdown to meet emissions so the idle shutdown is just a feature for (mostly fleet) customers who want the option.
This feature also requires the key to be in the ignition and you can get it with a Lariat if you have a C&C... Background Info: https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...tml/Q169R4.pdf |
