so I ordered on June 8... truck was built 6/21, scheduled for delivery July 14??? Yep, it takes longer to ship em than to build

I ordered a 250 june 10th.... wonder if my truck was born yet??? Dealer last told me July build early Aug delivery...... see my Ex for sale in the truck section, please;-)

I've never ordered a truck, always found something on the lot that I liked.

Question - when you order the vehicle do you negotiate all pricing/trade-ins at this time or do you wait until the new ride makes it in?

Heron, I do have a VIN, what can I do with that? Anything? I asked for the window sticker and he sent what seems to be title 'computer printout, internal sticker' but its not a window sticker... :-( The dealer I am working with has not been the most pleasant to deal with but I used a buyer service and couldn't beat the price. They probally wouldn't have seen my vehicle again anyways, too far drove past about 10 Ford dealers to get to them!

Gottabad.... I NEVER wanted a new vehicle. I bought my last two vehicles cash, love owning them outright and have never made payments on a vehicle. But..... the wife wanted warrenty (I know, why? I loved my Excursion) but on first test drive... there was no question I was going to buy. Anyways, your question, I ordered for two reasons, both involve price. At almost 60k sticker price, I wanted MY truck, the way I wanted it, no one else would have test drove it, I know selfish but I figured if this is the only new vehicle I ever own I will put mile 1-300,000 on it myself. I also loved the idea of babying it from the start and knowing it is maintained how I maintain a truck. The second was also price; at almost 60k sticker I was not paying for what I don't want and will never need. I tow a boat, carry a family and enjoy a good interior. Snow plow, never gonna use it, not paying for it, same for camper, off road, big tires, upfitter, PTO, foot massage ect ect ect. ;-)

Couldn't find anything close enough on any lots...
