Rear Axle rating #'s?
Gang I can't seem to find the rear axle ratings anywhere for the 2011 F350's. I'm curious to see if the lower ratio options that are out there now have lower capacities and how they compare to the shorter geared F350 options.
I looked through the towing guide but didn't see it anywhere. Anyone found that? I've been able to find about everything else. |

Answered my own question after alot of digging. The brochure shows rear axle ratings at the ground to be 6200 lbs. (F-250); 7280 lbs. (F-350 SRW); 9750 lbs.(F-350 DRW); 9750 lbs. (F-450).
I can only assume that the axles are the same on the 250/350 and spring packages are making up the difference; which we've seen in the past. Amazes me that folks buy trucks like this and don't even know what the running gear is rated at. While I'm posting that I may as well give out the fronts too which are 5250 lbs. (F-250/F-350 4x2); 6000 lbs. (F-250/F-350/F-450 4x4). |
