2011 SD packages

I noticed when i went to my local dealer the other day, to get a new 6.7 ordered i couldnt get fog lights on a xlt reg cab at all. when i thought about it i decided to go with the ext cab, (its always better to have a little more room anyways, right?) he told me i would have to get a $1k option package to get the lights, seems a little crazy. what happened since 03 when i could hand pick the things i want, instead of getting a bunch of things i dont want? the other thing i didnt want was the chrome mirror caps, but of course that came with another item wanted on it. is there anyway to put factory fogs on a reg cab instead of those hideous black covers, and what can be done with chrome mirror caps

That's why I would have to bump up to a Lariat if I got one. Only way to get the fogs and LCD info screen without all the damn chrome.

Thats wierd, i saw a reg cab the other day with fogs, it was an xlt.
