Anyone trade your 08 6.4?? Trade value??
Considering it, but then thought about waiting a little while to see what these trucks will do.
Has anyone traded their 08 6.4L on the 6.7? Curious what kind of trade dollars you got and what miles. My truck only has 17K miles on it and it in immaculate condition, 2008 F250 Lariat 4x4 Blue/Tan loaded. |

I have a loaded F350 Lariat LB SWB with 43k mi in pristine condition including new 20" Michelins and 2 new Diehard batteries. My dealer was going to give me $32k on a trade. Not bad but I decided to drive it another year and see how things go with the 6.7. Really no reason to buy since my 6.4 is solid.

You'll do ALOT better selling it outright for sure,in my case I saved over 5 grand selling it outright.

..... take a jar of lubricant!!! I traded mine, 85k miles, I was so upside down the trade was made in China. Deciding factors. my use of the truck, the mileage I put on it...I was filling up twice a day in my 09 working the end of last year. I got tired of seeing 8-11 mpg after the regens, and often before. I could of 'bought a lot of diesel' with the trade in loss, but my thoughts were... given the present administrations progressive devaluation of the dollar, our fuel prices will be climbing as more dollars are needed to buy oil. My 09 in a $5.00 per gallon diesel market would be worth ???
compared to an 2011??? My never so humble opinion is that the 2011 would also lose value, but not to the degree the 09 would. I figured it was reasonable to bite the bullet now, opposed to later. ![]() (Plus I got ALL the toys!!!! )

85k miles in just over a year?! What the hell do you do? |

Well I am by no means upside down at all. I just don't want to buy one now and have them go down later this year, etc. So waiting for the right moment to strike.

Traded my 09 F250 Lariat on a 2011. Had 33,500 miles on it in 8 months. I got $38,500 trade in for it. The 2011 i paid $52,500 for it & sticker was $ 59,510 on it. I think i got a fair deal on the 09.

I got 36,500 for a bone stock 08 Harley F350 with 30,250 miles. I would have had to sell it for 40 to beat that because of the tax credit I got.

I just ordered an '11 through the dealer in Georgetown. I have an '08 F-350 SB SRW Lariat loaded with 53K miles. He offered $32K for it, but said it could change when the new one comes in. Between now and then I will test the Craigslist waters, but like grunttorque said, you have to factor in the lost tax credit (6.25% in Tx) that the trade has. So, to net more than $32K, I have to get more than $34K.
