Duramax stealing the spotlight?

Looks like the duramax is going to reign king of the HP/TQ numbers gain...

I really hope this new 6.7 power stroke gets significantly better mileage than the duramax though. I tired of hearing all the chevy boys rant on about their trucks.

The question is when will Cummins step up to the plate? Bet their new motor is first in the 400/800 club!

The Dmax is a great engine. The rest of the rig just falls apart in a suttle manner though. I drive a 2500HD Sierra at work on rough roads, had the shocks, ball joints a cv joints at 30,000km and again at 57000.

The trucks sold off lots will come with a reflash that makes 400 hp.

Nah don't even worry about it. I've heard rumors that Ford will have a re-flash getting giving the engine more juice, thus taking the spotlight from the Duracrap. I've also heard that the Duramax's engine is maxed out, so when you start toying with it sh** parts will start flying on the road...

What are these trucks that guys on the forum have brought home rated at? I suspect 390 and 735, I hope they get with it and jump the #'s over the D-Max!

Well thats not really true.

I would give a few hp for a few mpg though.

IMO, Government Motor Company can have the numbers. Ford still makes the most solid, longest lasting trucks on the road. Unless GMC went back to a solid front axle and got rid of the stupid IFS, they'll never be on par with Ford. A truck is a truck and they're trying to make it handle like a car. I say let em keep a 20 hp edge on us, Ford will still outsell and outlast em all.

If you are worried about being outdone on power, chip the ***** and run circles around every stock truck you see. Except the srt10, that might be difficult.

The Duramax is a fair engine, but the rest of it is a Girls Truck...

The only reason they sell so many is the girls like them, and they come with a matching purse and pumps as part of the deal...

Fords still rule unless you are going to leave it in town and just shuttle grocery bags...

AND I OWNED A 2008 2500 HD AND A 2009 3500 HD CC 4X4 DUALLY.... I know what I am talking about. Gave the purses and pumps to my Daughters, sold the girls trucks, AND CAME BACK TO FORD...
