BS with a ford guy in 6.7 today

Walking out of Target today spoted a 2011 super duty in the parking lot. Walked up to it, the driver works at Ford. He drove fom Michigan to Delaware to vist family. Said the truck was getting 20 mpg, F250 reg. cab long bed 4x4 3:73 rear. I checked it out xlt not much defferent inside other then the cluster then my truck. I looked under the hood I was lost sh*t every where, one think I saw there was oil or fuel blowing out of some where on the motor it was all over the top He didn't say much about that. I thought it would get better mpg then 20 mpg, Whats a stock 6.4 on the highway 16-18 not that much difference really between the 2 sorry no pics. the guy was very nice gave me info to get his x-plan price, pretty nice guy to offer that to me after just meeting me. no test drive or ride in it, it doesn't sound that much different the my 6.4just some info I found today just wanted to share with you guys

my 6.4 never saw better than 15.8 stock. 20mpg stock is a a frigging 25% gain, thats huge.

with what i pay for fuel it costs me $0.21 a mile to drive, just in fuel.
by getting 20mpg, it would cost you a nickel less per mile. In the life of a truck(just say 100,000) that'll save you 5000

I hear you thats good mpg but I thought I read some where that they where getting something like 25-30mpg Sh*t I'm getting like 9.5-10 mpg I would love to get 20 mpg. But that because I'm running 38" tires so I thinking that that truck would get about maybe 14-15 mpg with 38"s

In perfect conditions, at 35-38 mph in 4th gear T-coverter locked up, my 12,000 pound F550 4x4 dump with 4:88 gearing returns about 14 miles per gallon. That's no lie. It has 103,000 miles on it, max traction tires all around.
