Is the 2011 Just an update

I was looking online and it looks like the new beds are the same as the old ones, except the duallys. Is this model year just a powertrain and styling update or is it a new truck?

They updated the front end, the interior and it does have the new drive train. From the A-pillar back pretty much the same except for, as you noted the dually fenders.

I've read some of the writers say it's time to update the truck as a whole.

i was thinking that also. It seems like the bed styling has been the same for the past 12 years or so. What sucks is that in my opinion the 2010s look the best, dont know why but that big bold grille just looks great.

FWIW i like the body style myself. i dont think they could make it to awfully better

Yeah i like the 08 look myself but i'm not a big fan of the new look. I really don't like the new grill

Why spend money on a design that works? I would rather they spend money on the things that count, reliability and power. I have always thought the basic body style looked as business like as any design ever. If you want a different bodystyle every couple of years, by a Cheby, they can't seem to make up their minds on style.

the beds are slightly different... but basically the same.

the biggest difference is the dually fenders, but a smaller less noticable difference is the fuel door. its now rectangular and has two recepticles

I love the body style of our trucks.

Tall front ends, Kenworth style doors and mirrors, etc etc.
