Mustang headlights and a mean looking bumper. Would have been cheap, and would have looked so much better than the 2011 nose.
2011 looks like it was hit head on by the chrome truck. Gaudy. I love my Fords, but what do they think? It isn't 1957.

You're right, but retro is coming back in vogue.....As a side note, I hope it comes with some of those family values too..

If retro is what they wanted, then I would have suggested something along the lines of the 1980..blocky, but retro. I am willing to bet dollars to dimes that the 2013 will be significantly more stylish. Ford is watching these boards, and they want to give us what we ask for..so far, I have not heard but 1 or 2 positive comments about the front end on the 2011.

As for 1950's values, I suppose it was a much more innocent time...but the bad-boy motocycle leather wearing type came in the 50s, so did rock and roll..so did the "nuclear age"..it was really the beginning of the end of true American earnest and upright values. The greatest generation spawned the decline of "values". I think it really hurt them (The WW-II generation) too.
