Trailer Life magazine reviewed a 2011 F-450 crew cab king ranch fx-4 in this months issue. Interesting facts mpg's solo 16.6 mpg's towing a 12,900lb 5ver 10.3. Empty weight of truck was 8,840. Not to bad of numbers fo a 4.30 geared F-450. Said it pulled effortlessly and the only complaint they had was about a little turbo lag.

That's interesting because the pickuptrucks article said Turbo lag was imperceptible

Yah I seen that too I am positive it is better than my 7.3 though.

Cheaper and paid for. Plan on keeping it along time. 6.7 is going to have to prove itself for me.

Don't the F450's and F550's have a different turbo set-up than the F250 and F350? Maybe that is a difference????? Milage is looking great so far!

You are right they do have different turbos, and are tuned different...good point.
