6.7 rear end
well since my truck was totaled i went down to see if i could get any deals on a 09 or 10.. Not much around. So i had my guy build me a new 2011. White with black leather interior. pretty much loaded except nav. (dont need that ) Well first off i was in full intentions of getting a FX4 but come to find out they are not making it for this year. Onlly XL ,XLT, Lariet, and King Ranch. So i had him build the Lariet. Next i come to find out that the only gears that they offer are 3.55's in either a NON limited slip or a locking limited slip.. Which one u guys think is better. Im thinking the locking but wanted some feedback.. Oh yea. the total before rebates was 51,480.00 Got to find out what the rebates are going to be.(anybody know). And i wouldnt get this rig untill mid april. (sucks) what's ur opinions?

That's what i was thinking. I cant believe thats the only gears u can get on a 250 now.. goes up to 410's with the dually.. Also dont know if i could wait till mid april to get a truck tho.

it probably has to do with the power and the gearing of the new tranny as to why you can only get 3.55
|

No its the same in the 10 model now. Ford is getting their @sses reamed about bad mpg's so they switched to the 3.55's to try to help.

If you go with the 20 inch rims you get the 3.55 automagically. I ordered the elec locking rear. I did not want an open diff suffering from one wheel peel all the time.

You can get the FX4 pkg this year,I ordered a Loaded lariet with it.. I also went with the elec.locking rear diff.
