Ordered 2010 Ram 3500...looking to cancel order??

Hey guys, I haven't been on here in quite a long time. Never said much, pretty much just read threads and learned.

Does nyoe know a "fairly accurate" timeline on when the 2011 SD's will be on the dealer lots? I'm currently in Iraq and have ordered an 2010 3500 Mega Cab, but am now being told that I can't get it in a 4X4. That's a deal breaker for me. I live in Alaska so not having 4X4 is out of the question.

I won't be home until mid February, and I can deal without having a truck for a little bit, but not very long. Camping season starts in Alaska around the mid/end of May, so that would be the latest I could wait. I sold my '04 F250 before I came over here to force myself to buy a new truck, and now I may be in a bind.

Any word on earliest delivery dates??

I have read that Production starts are around Feb 15,I Think so this would mean around end of March or Middle of april before one will be on a Lot!

Far as Dodge Goes There are Quite a Few Pissed Off people over there LOL I read That The new 2010 would be Built with the Old 2009 Body,people that Put in orderes for the 2010 thought they would get the 2011 Body style But aren't :~( Not good for Dodge Sales......

You can Get anything Dodge makes 4x4,your dealer Must mean he can't get One due to lack of 2010 trucks ,If you wanted a Dodge/Cummins Then I would wait till the 2011's came out or find a left over truck on a Lot....

But I Really believe Ford is Going to be Top Dog again in the Truck Diesel World!!! I Can Only Hope cause i'm going to Buy the 350 C/C SB 4X4 Diesel of course!

From what I have heard was that the Ford will not hit the lot till May. As for the dodge, the 2010 3500 is the new body style and the 4500 CC is the old body. If I was looking for a new truck (which I might be) I would go for the Dodge. Dodge has made big strides with there interiors. Its not a Ford, but it is definitely nicer than previous trucks. The big reason for the Dodge is that although the emissions system has been more problematic than Fords, the engine has been proven for the past few years, and I can still get a manual Trans in the crew cab, let alone the truck is about $6k less than the Ford.

Yeah, I'm being told there is going to be a limited production of the 2010 Dodge HD's. They are already on the lots, and they have the new body style.

Nooo you can get the megacab in 4x4 just saw one not to long ago

The Mega Cab will come in 4X4, but it will not come with a long box... thats the deal breaker for me... oh and the fact that its a Dodge

Ford's new SD is really looking like its gonna be totally balls to the wall. I'd wait.

They should be hitting lots by middle/late March, Early April Timeframe

As its already been said, I just checked Dodge's site, and the new 3500s come in 4x2 or 4x4 in the mega cab.
I don't think you were ever able to get the Mega cab with a 8' bed, I've seen some aftermarket conversions, but never something from the factory.
