Not sure if you have seen this, but it is a fairly informative article and sounds very promising for the next PSD. If I ever decide to get rid of my '01 7.3, this will be my next diesel.

That motor seems sooo promising. I'll wait a year or to and get one when they come down a lil bit. And so they can prove themselves.

Yeah, time will tell!!
I'm sure the initial press releases of the 6.0 and 6.4 sounded similar and "promising" at the time, so we'll have to wait and see.

While its great that Ford is finally producing their own engine and from the way it sounds it will make great power and have some brand new technology, one word/phrase I have heard a lot is quiet/"controlling noise". I can't believe how much control has been to put onto diesel trucks from the outside. Its obvious that companies are forced to build engines so that others can tolerate them rather than people who enjoy their trucks wanting to buy one. It seems as though these companies believe that the only vehicle enthusiasts buy sports cars. Nonetheless these do appear to be some pretty sweet trucks.
