Does anyone run a FASS fuel system on their 6.7? If so what are the Pros/Cons of running a FASS system? I know a lot of guys run them on the older Ford, Chevy an dodges, but haven't heard much about the newer trucks running them.
I have been running a Fass 125 GPH on my 2006 F250 for around 2-1/2 years now. I like it, I did install a 5/8" suction line kit on it to the bottom of the fuel tank along with 1/2" line to the original point of connection where the OEM pump was.
Runs very quiet and I have 60 psi all day long. Just now installing a pressure sensor for my Edge CS2 so I can monitor fuel pressure at all times.
I did notice less pedal to make HP after installing it. More fuel then the OEM pump was giving me for sure. I really like it myself. I mounted it next to the fuel tank in front of driver side rear tire. Suction line is only 3' long so it has no issues pulling fuel from the tank. If you run a 3/8 suction hose the pump will cavitate and be very noisy, I called Fass and they recommended I run at least a 1/2" line into the tank. I later upgraded that to 5/8".
Its the new Titanium Series that they give you a lifetime warranty on. Has very nice filters that are a dream to replace compared to the horrible OEM ones. I am still running the upper filter on top of the engine too. But I'm sure its no longer needed.
Cant speak for the 6.7 but I'm sure its waaaay better then the OEM pump..
I have been curious about this as well because I have some goods on the way from No Limit and wouldn't mind buying the system if it helps my truck run better and more efficient. My question is do the 6.7 engines even need the extra help to run on a max effort tune if necessary? I know we had to install one in my buddies 2013 Duramax because he wasn't getting enough fuel in the higher RPMs on his max tune. I see the point in needing it if you have dual fuelers and such but I don't plan on doing that. Nevertheless I'm going to end up buying one sooner or later "needed" or not.
I dont think they need the help, but the filtration is something to add.
