Anyone that has theirs have any options that they just cant live without? Are there any you would absolutely order again?
I am ordering a Lariat CCSD 350 with the 40-20-40 front seating as we need seating for 6. I am ordering the LED's, Ultimate package, tow tech package, 3.31 locking axles, 5th wheel prep, rood clearance, BLIS, spray in liner.
Anything anyone has experience with that a person should order that can be done outside of direct from the factory? I was thinking the FX, or cruise control something or the other, but, it didnt seem like a must have.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. We use for it for puling our 5th wheel camper around the Midwest.
We don't have ours yet, but when we went through the ordering process we landed on a Lariat too. Got the Lariat ultimate package, tow tech package, 5th wheel prep, BLIS, and Power side steps. We got a few other things but those were the Must have list that my wife and I came up with.
Any reason for choosing the 3.31's for pulling a 5th wheel. The torque of the 6.7 will handle the higher gearing but I think the 3.55's would be a better choice for towing. Just my 2 cent's!!
They were a must have for my wife, we tested trucks with the power step as well as the standard running boards, she felt the power steps were better, she's 5'3".
The 3.31 and 3.55 gears will net you the same RPMs as the tire sizes are different between the two. The only way that you can get around this is if you get the 3.31 gears and put larger tires on it.
If you're going to spend much time travelling in this truck, or have any kind of spinal problems the massaging seats are very nice and make long hours in the saddle pass much better. When I ordered, I thought that this was a gimmick, but they really are nice. You'd have to step up from the Lariat to the King Ranch to get them though. With the KR you automatically get the LEDs, Moonroof and the rest. Personally, if the Moonroof isn't something you really want, I'd try to avoid that feature as they have a tendency to leak.
When ordering I had to step up to the King Ranch because my wife got the heebie geebies from those faux wooden panels on the Lariat's door. It didn't bother me, but it looked like snake skin to her and she HATED it. She wouldn't put her arm near the door. She really hates snakes. The KR has an upgraded faux panel that looks like walnut.
It was an expensive upgrade, but now that I have the King Ranch I'm happy that I made the choice as the KR leather is very nice.

not sure if yours comes with it but I'd always order the up fitters. You never know what you may want to hook up to it later (light bars, backup lights, etc). And I'd order the 6 switch and not the 4 switch.
If you haven't read the order guide yet, I'd highly recommend finding one and reading through it. There's stuff in there that nobody at my dealership knew about. There are a few stories floating around here that ordered something based on the short description (like "FX4 Package", for instance) and found out when the truck arrived they paid for something they specifically did NOT want.
If you go with the Lariat, you already get most of the goodies. FWIW, snow plow package gets you dual HD alternators and stiffer front springs. I don't see a downside to the springs, as the rear is still stiffer than the front on an F350. I went with a Lariat with bench front seat as well. Glad I did.
I actually drove a leftover '16 Lariat with the snow plow package on it. Dealer had one down here in South Louisiana where it never snows. Maybe it will push a plow to get sand off the highways when we get hurricanes!
