One of the fears with each oil change is the dreaded "typewriter noise" that the 6.7 can develop after an oil change for no apparent reason. If you aren't familiar with it just do a search and you'll find many threads regarding it. It's harmless to your engine, a real aggravation if you don't like added noises.
Personally, I left my break-in oil in a little long and changed it at 4,000 miles hoping it would help avoid the typewriter noise (it didn't). The next oil change at 7K. I change every 3K.
