Buying Tips That Might Be Helpful

I just purchased a 2014 F250 XL Diesel. I went to 4 dealers and the last one was very helpful and gave me the best price. Below you will find some rebates you might not have been aware you are entitled to.

Conquest cash is a rebate/incentive that most buyers don't even know they are entitled to. I received a coupon ($2,500.00) several times in the mail but just tossed it and when I needed to purchase a truck, I didn't remember anything about it. Forturnately the 4th dealer I went to brought it to my attention. Ford keeps a record of this and he did the leg work and found it. The other 3 didn't know how to do it, were to lazy, didn't know about it or were going to keep it. Ask your dealer it you have this.

Order upfitter switches. It is a $125.00 option but come with a $1,000.00 rebate. Go figure that one out. Net savings $800.00.

If your family or you lease a car from a competitor you are entitled to a $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 rebate.

Shop on a holiday. Sometimes they will have $1000.00 instant cash as a special.

Ford is currently offering a $2,500.00 rebate if you finance through them. Obviously the rate is higher but line up financing on your own after the purchase, make the first payment and then finance with your own lender. Most lender will give you the new car rate because the mileage will be so low. Net savings at least $2,000.00.

Order a truck. Don't buy off the lot. This way the dealer will not have any money tied up in the vehicle. It only takes 5 weeks to be built. All incentives that were in place at the signing will stay in place and you will be entitled to any new incentives.

It you are ordering a truck you should be able to buy it for $500.00 below invoice. Tack on a few rebates and you should be about $5,500.00 total under invoice.

My truck's MSRP was $47,400.00. Invoice $44,000.00. Purchase price $37,000.00.

I think there is a limit on the number of rebates. $5,500.00-$7,000.00?

I almost purchased one from another dealer for $42,000.00. That is a difference of about $100.00/month.

Purchase from a dealer who sells more trucks than your average dealer. He will have salesman who know or specialize in trucks sales. You don't want the dopey guy to order you the wrong option, you need someone to help you order your truck at a fair price.

If you have any questions, just ask. I just went through all the bs.

Do your homework and save.
