Turn signal lever

Am I the only one who hates these new kind of turn signal levers? I have driven the thing about 5k miles now and I am no better now than the first day. My wife drove it, she didn't like it, my son drove it, he said they were broke. I checked 'em out, they work exactly as designed, a very CRAPPY design. If all Fords are going to start having these I'm going to another brand.

I end up flipping the damn thing back and forth with signals for right, then left, its like some freaking video game. Takes my attention away from the road. I don't think they are safe.

Ford needs to put out a recall and give owners the option for the kind that work on 99% of other vehicles.

Nope, me either. extremely simple.
If you tap the lever gently it will go into lane change mode and your signal light will blink 3 times then shut off automatically. If you push the lever to the full extend the signal light will stay on until you have turned or manually turn it off. To manually turn it off simply tap the lever the same way you did o start it blinking. Or leave it. It will automatically shut off after a certain length of time. VW's and some porsche's are the same. It's great for the idiots who leave their signal lights on blinking down the highway. And simple for quick lane changes. Does no one in your house know how to work the tv either?

When I first got my truck my biggest problem was always doing the 3 blink thing when I was trying to turn my brights on and off, and before I realized that when you just bump it it only blinks 3 times I would try and turn it off and end up turning it on and just fidgeting with it till I shut if off haha. After about a week of vehicles passing me while I looked like an idiot I figured it out

I agree with the majority... I actually like the function of them. Very easy to use. Although what bugs me is that in my 2013 Mustang I have the traditional style turn signal lever that clicks with a manual de-actuation that returns it to the regular position. Both '13's...why the difference. Damn Ford engineers.

I like them too. After I realized that they were supposed to do it that way anyways. At first I thought there was something wrong with the F150 I test drove before getting the F350

My wife's Yukon XL Denali did the same thing...her Range Rover does it too...and I love it on my Ford. And when my trailer is hooked up, instead of 3 blinks on tap it does 5...which was cool to discover. Give it some time...I absolutely HATE driving anything without them now...totally hooked...going to put them on my '70 Torino!
