I was getting about 15.1 mpg (towing nothing), but saw an improvement to around 15.7/15.8 mpg once my mileage got above 20K.
Towing was a different story. I towed my son's Ford Ranger 800 miles on a flatbed trailer
and watched my mpg drop to 11.2. Same with my gooseneck livestock trailer. MPG drops substantially.
I have a fabricated flatbed on my F350 and at first I thought it was the headboard creating drag, so I modified the headboard, cutting away the top corners but my mpg towing has stayed the same.
