Would you hesitate to buy this?

2011 f250 KingRanch. Every option. 20k miles. $64k sticker when new.

I took it for a test drive today and I found a Bully Dog GT in the center Console not connected with the manual. This is at a Toyota dealership and they don't know what it is. They thought it was part of the winch controller. I raised some concerns about the warranty possibly being void because of this. Part of the terms of this sale will be for the truck to pass a ford survey and scan. They said no problem. If it fails and shows signs of the programmer how much of a discount should we be talking? Right now I'm at $42k in the negotiation and feeling pretty good on a truck that new would be 65+ with these extras I'd add anyway. Truck has an IronCross bumper and 17.5k warn winch, tool box, ready lift leveling, and 35" Mickey thompsons new.

Bully Dog Gt is a DPF on tuner correct? Ie. doesnt function or support deletes. How much harm could have been done with this? It drove just like new.

Thanks...w/o warranty my smarter side is telling me to walk anyway. Would be nice to have a warranty for a while to gauge if this truck will be problematic. The oasis report and Carfax show no problems or warranty claims or work. Only

If any tuner of any kind has ever been plugged into the truck and flashed the PCM, ECM, TCM, etc the warranty is gone. Now keep in mind, the dealer has to be looking for signs of a tuner being used. It's not like a huge red flag appears as soon as the truck is plugged into at the dealer, but if the tech performing the work was to look, the codes would be there to deny warranty. Hopefully that makes sense.

The truck stores things in memory, like every time the PCM has been flashed. It also stores codes like over-boost, fuel rail pressure too high, etc and doesn't display a CEL but a tech at the dealer can simply look for those codes and warranty denied. Any tuner that's been used on the truck will have produced the over-boost and high fuel pressure codes. Those are the fundamental things a tuner does to create more power, add fuel and raise turbo psi.
