Stock 32"a/t's to 33"or 34" a/t's

Hey guys my truck has 18"rims and stock 32" a/t's.

Its almost time for some new tread. Im on paved roads 80% of the time so i want a/t's instead of m/t's. I wanna go with 33" or 34" what do you guys think?
I like my 20+ fuel mileage and im curious how much bigger tires are gonna kill it lol.

I pretty consistently get 18+ at 75-80 mph with my stock Michelins at 34.4"
I can push that over 20 if I slow down to 65

So I would expect the same for you

My fuelly says 14 because I tow a lot. And no I don't get 18-20 while towing. But if I get on the freeway and drive someplace at a steady speed EMPTY, thats when I get 18-20 mpg. And I have driven several of these trucks and gotten pretty much the same mileage.

Towing big trailers I get 9.5 to 10.0 mpg. I tow a 4H GN trailer several times each week. I have hauled 3 different 5vers from Utah up to North Dakota. I pull a skid loader or a mini excavator almost daily out to job sites.

So fuelly is showing my avg for the past 40,000 miles and 150 fill ups.

I avg 9.5 mpg pulling this

I avg 11 mpg towing this guy home across Wyoming

I avg 11-12 pulling this loaded horse trailer

And I'm frequently hauling hay

I went with 305/55/20 Falken A/T tires, and put on a set of 08-10 20" factory wheels. Had the same size terra grapplers on my 08 GMC HD before wanted to try a different tire. I had your wheels before with 275/70/18 which were a touch over 33" tall. So I kept pretty much the same height but went about an inch wider. Last night I set the cruise at 70 mph for 20-25 miles and the computer, yes I know not 100% accurate returned a mpg of 22.9. I do have 3.31 gears though. I personally didn't want to go with anything taller than I did because I felt that some performance and fuel mileage would have been lost with the 3.31 gears. Good luck!

I took off my 275/65/18 continentals and installed a set of 275/70/18 terra grapplers, no real difference in mileage and they look so much better.
