New TSB 11-04-23 installed, not so impressive!

My truck is around 10 weeks old. The trans was shifting hard from 4-5 and 1-2 it seemed to defuel/decrease power. I took it in for my 5k maintenance and asked them about the new TSB. The service tech said they updated the trans and the computer would have to learn my driving habits all over again. Well, after another 500 miles, the truck does shift better. However, the power seems A LOT less. The truck is not as responsive and my mileage seems worse. Anyone else get the new flash?

I don't think so. I'll call and ask. How would that make a difference on a truck with just 5k miles?

I just had my truck in for the same tranny issues as yours they used tsb 11-04-21 don't know the differance. My truck seemed to lose power about 2k miles ago and I've got 7k now. Does anyone have an write up on changing the fuel filters on these trucks. Mine have not been changed.

Not sure why you would change your fuel filters at 5K miles unless you have been running some really dirty fuel. I changed mine when to computer told me to. I forget what the mileage was. 500 miles isn't enough in my opinion for your truck to learn your driving habits and see a mileage gain or loss. I don't have the new flash but I got 18mpg running 80mph between Atlanta GA and Crystal Springs, MS last night.

Drove another 100 + miles today. Truck is definitely smoother but it definitely is not as strong! There's more lag and the truck seems like it's been detuned!
Kind of feels like going from a V8 to a V6!

On a trip I got some baaad fuel... Power was way down...changed fuel filters and it was like having it chipped!!!

Not saying that is your situation, but the fuel filters will affect your trucks performance...

(do NOT use a socket or wrench on the caps plastic nut, use a oil filter type wrench...unless you want an excuse to sit around while you try to find a new filter cap...)

Whats the normal mileage the truck tells you to change fuel filters? I'm about to hit 17k on the original and no light yet.

I think the light came on when it was in the low 20,000 mileage range. I would have to look at the service paper to know for sure.
