6th to 5th shift

Hi guy's- our ordered 2011 F350 Larait 4x4, CC, LB, Ultimate package, heat, FX4, E-locker, etc. loaded truck came in 4 weeks ago. We put 1,200 miles on it and headed to Disney from Upstate NY for a 2,500 mile round trip. The truck is awesome, way more pulling power for our 37' 13,000lb fifth wheel than our 2006 6.0 PSD. Pulled all hills in PA @ 70mph w/ only a few shifts to 4th, mainly 5th or it never shifted out of 6th once we got out of PA (11 mpg). The question is some hard or abrupt shifts from 6th down to 5th under load, a few times it hit so hard that it woke the family up anf the DW asked if we were ok or broke?! We could feel a mildly harder shift during the first 1,200 miles but they hard w/ a load on. Truck was at the dealer for an oil change, check over and DEF and the Service Manager didn't have any TSBs or reflash for a fix currently and commented other customers have the same concern and he thinks Ford just made the tranny more robust. Any thoughts, comments or better info?

my guess is the tranny learning process. i know mine change after a while of different driving styles. its supposed to "learn" how you drive and adjust, but i may be wrong

They say it takes a good 5000 miles for it "learn". I wouldn't worry about it until then.
