Should I Line X my Ranch Hand Grill Guard to match truck color?

Hey guys. I just got a 2011 F-250 6.7. The truck is white. I want to get a Ranch Hand Grill Guard, but I don't want the black. I had this crazy idea to get the grill guard sprayed with line-x so as to match the color of my truck. What do you guys think? Would you still with black or go the line-x route? All opinions are greatly appreciated.

If you want to color match, powdercoat is a good option. It is very tough and they have lots of colors to get a good match.

I am looking at options for my '10 as well. I believe that you can order it powder coated and painted. I will have to go with Pueblo Gold if I want them to paint it. My truck is Royal Red over Pueblo. They only offer a few options as far as painting. However, have you looked at Tough Country Products | Replacement Bumpers, Step Bars, Running Boards, Headache Racks & Brush Guards ? I believe this will be the one I will buy. You might like it as well due to it being available in white. Good luck and post some pics when you pull the trigger.

White LineX fades to an ugly yellow color after a couple years. I'd stick with paint, black LineX or powder coating.

Thanks for all of the info guys. I had no idea that the white Line-X would change colors and that it was so expensive; about $350. I decided I am going to go with the Ranch Hand and have it powder coated white platinum to match the truck. Powder coating is only going to cost me about $100. The only thing is it is going to take 1 week to get in the grill guard and another week to get it powder coated. I can't wait. Pics will be coming soon.

I agree about the fade but the white pigment is what changes the color. Road dirts and grime changes the white as well as UV attack. If you wanted white, make sure they coat it with a UV stabilizer or LineX Xtra on it. Line-X Gray pigment fades the worst out of all colors.
