Hi everyone,
I have a 2011 F250 and am interested in lifting it 12-14 inches. I have looked at a lot of the popular high end lifts like bulletproof, FTS, Stryker etc.. But most are charging upwards of $7k for a lift. My question is would it be cheaper for me to buy each part needed from different places, rather than buying a whole kit? Im not going to be the one doing the installation but i figured i could at least get all the parts needed. I have a budget of 3-4k. I don't know a ton about suspension but i know i need. Coil Overs/ Coils with spacer, Adj trac bar, extendable break lines, Pitman Arm extender, Sway Bar link, 4 link/ radius arms, Blocks, Leafs. Am i missing anything?

Thanks!

Yeah, you're a little out of touch if you are looking for anything cheaper than 5-7k for 12-14 inches of lift.

You can custom fab it yourself, that'd be cheaper. But no, you aren't going to save much money if any by building it out per individual component. I'd go with a kit if I were you. And be certain you want 12-14" of lift...thats a friggin lot of lift.

Yes, you'll need to budget 4k at least for wheels and tires that'll fit under that much lift.

I had a 9 inch lift on my old 6.4. Was a cheap pro comp lift comprised of a 6 inch lift kit and a 3 inch coil spacer i had bought for $1500. The truck looked good but it rode like a pile of garbage. I know i want to go bigger on this 6.7 but at the same time i just cant justify paying 7 thousand on a lift kit at this point. I guess i will have to settle more on a 10-12 inch lift. Or a 10 and just add the extra coil spacer to give me the correct hight wanted.

I'd say op is trolling or needs to go to the casino and put that 4k down on red/black 5-10 times and get about 15k.

Sure, you could find all kids of used parts and pieces on the web... you could likely save a few dollars.

The hardest part will be finding an actual installer (not your best friend whos dad has a shop) that will even participate in putting it all together.
