I have the 3015R SCT programmer and want to just set the idle. Can anyone walk me through the process? It seems all I can find is choosing different tunes to load, I cant figure out how to just adjust the idle.
from my experience you do that when you go to load a tune you select change options
you can do it after the tune is loaded also but not sure how to walk you through it
play with the device you will get comfortable with it
I'm going to guess that you are currently Idiling at around 900 rpm. This is NOT adjustable. With the older SCT tuners and deletes on the 6.4 you HAVE to have the EGT sensors plugged in in the exhaust pipe. Without them it high idles. You don't have to put them in the pipe, you can just zip tie them to the frame, but they need to be plugged in.
Yep, 900 rpm's. I have read other threads that suggest plugging in the rear sensor and tie-wrapping as you suggest, but in the SCT user manual, it says I can adjust it. I sent SCT an e-mail so I'll see what they say. Thanks for the help!
I did as you suggested, plugged all three sensors back in and it idles normal. Thanks again for your help!
