History. Dealer replaced one outer tensioner in Dec. of 2013 due to grinding and squeaky noises.
Less than 2k later I replaced outer, inner tensioners plus both idler pulleys (this is a dual alternator system) and belt due to same noise concerns.
2K later I am back with same noise concern but this time, no grinding noise. Squeaking/ squealing comes and goes. Spraying water did not immediately quite things or make the issue worse. And I hit everything. Such as fan pulley, water pump...
My question. If I recall correctly, one idler pulley had a washer with it but the other did not. Should both idler pulleys have washers/spacers?
When observing. I can see one of the idlers ever so slightly moving side to side but I do not remember if this was the one with the washer/spacer or not.
Used all FoMoCo parts.
I am thinking next time I will go gates on everything.
Thanks.
