Making the 6.4 sound like a Diesel

Ok this sounds silly, but has any of the tuners thought about making a tune to make the 6.4 sound like a diesel again. I know there is advantages of having a quite diesel but some people want to have their diesel sound like a diesel. Maybe shorten injector sprays to just a couple instead of 5 ( I think its 5 per power cycle correct me if I am wrong) Now I am sure this would probably not work well with the DPF but maybe on the offroad performance tune this could be done??? Just curious. What do you guys think?

Its already been done......with Spartan or SCT and the new injector timing, both give the 6.4 more of a diesel "rattle"

Are you talking about exhaust noises or engine noises?

I believe the OP was talking about engine noise. Like Julian said the 275 spartan tune makes the trucks rattle more for lack of a better term.

dont mean to hijack this thread, but what did they do to "quiet" down the diesel engine noise? i too love the loudness of the motor, i love my 6.0 and think diesels belong loud... how much louder does the 275 tune make a stock 6.4? is it comparable to a 6.0?

Never put it side by side with a 6.slow and got out and listened, but you can hear my motor rattle way over my buddy's stock 6.4

Not at all. I would drive my 6.4 around all weekend, then monday morning when I got back in my 6.0, it use to scare me! make you wanna shut it off to check the oil.
They are just different machines. I'm not knockin the 6.0, I love the way mine screams wide open throttle, I wish the 6.4 had that scream!
