another question about EGR DPF tuner stuff

So as asked before if i could do the egr and tuner then do the DPF delete like the following weekend and the consenses seems I could possibley clog up the DPF while it is still in without the REGEN option. SO here is my new question

can i do it in reverse...do the Full exhaust and program the tuner to turn off the EGR and DPF then do the egr delete like the following weekend? I know there is still a chance of the egr causing issues but just trying to do the mods in phases due to time and winding conditions we have going on here

DONE:
EGR delete--4" turbo back exhaust
75HP tune

This is all covered in the sticky, but yes. You can turn the EGR off from some tuners manually while it's still in place then remove it later.

First i would like to know what tuner you have. Some tuners do it automatically and some tuners you have to tell it to turn off the EGR. Now if your question of "can" is about reliability, Yes. I have had the dpf delete and tuner for about a year with the EGR turned off. Just havent had the time to install it (except now im done with recruiting and will be doing all that and more now that i have my life back). I have had no problems with the system. I still reccomend taking it off because coolant will still flow and if it cracks it dumps it right into your heads, which is bad, very bad. I agree with your method of one mod at a time. That way you can run it for a bit, if a problems shows itself you know what mod that you recently did caused it.
