Anyone heard of this?

I just read on another forum that states who don't do emission testing are being given federal funds to support/train LEO's to do EPA compliance inspections. What that means, is an Officer can use compliance inspections as probable cause to make a vehicle stop and if they find any alterations in the factory installed systems the Officer can issue citations for those deficiencies. Those fines are significant and in addition, the Officer has the power to seize, impound and tow said vehicle where the vehicle will be held until mandatory compliance issues are resolved.

TN only has I think 4 county's in the state that requires yearly testing, I'm wondering if its coming state wide? The whole delete thing is coming an end I'm afraid. May be time to go back an old 7.3 or 5.9 and not worry about it.

We don't have emissions testing in FL and I don't see how they could enforce something like this. What about the custom built vehicles? or specialty vehicles?
