Cummins to a 6.4

Thinking about switching over to the powerstroke side. I have a 05 cummmins that runs great and trouble free for the last 90,000 miles. I like the truck but the new strokes look awsome. Besides the crappy milage are there any problems with the 6.4? how they holding up?
Thanks

The mileage is great with a DPF Delete and a Tuner.

The radiators seem to be the main problem, which obviously are replaced under warranty.

.....yeah for being a new motor, very few problems. Radiators, high pressure fuel pump, problems with the water seperator, and a couple of broken rocker arms, but like Marty said, covered under warranty and its usually just a one time deal to replace parts

i have two buddies one with a 05 and one with an 06 cummins.... they are good trucks but they would both come on here and tell u there trucks cant hang with my 6.4... the guy with the 05 has a 37 toy hauler just like mine and he will tell u that the 6.4l pulls it that much better... as for performance.... he went and ordered a pmt to compete with me honestly all bs aside he needed a new tranny 3 weeks after installation of the pmt... i can post videos on here of my 6.4 completely stock pulling both cummins and i even hooked up to a 08 duramax with the same size life and tires as me and once again the 6.4L beasted..... people can say what they want about the 6.4L... but i have proven to my self this is the better truck....

Minor problems with the motor, but nothing terrible. The actually TRUCK (especially interior) is WAY WAY better than the dodge.

I sold my 05 Ram the motor was great but the truck can't compete with the ford inside or out....I now have a F450 Lariat 4x4 with a Spartan tuner on its way..I think I'll love it more with all the goodies Matt is sending,so get rid of the Dodge you wont regret it.

I just traded my 04 Cummins Ram for an 08 6.4. I liked the 5.9 Cummins and reliable as all hell. Tranny was the weak link. Steering box needed support to take out the shimmy. The Ford is 100 x better interior (I got the King Ranch leather interior with Audiophile sound system, satellite radio 6 disc changer mp3 jack sweet!). My only complaint with this truck is the BS emmissions crap and the lack of storage under the back seat that the Ram had. I also liked the split front seat and storage the ram had in the front as well. But all in all, the 6.4 is a much better rig.
