Oil change

Did an oil change today. Put the fumoto valve on but not sure how I feel about how it hangs down. I don't do much off roading. So we'll see. Anyone have issues with their valve? Also found that the oil cap was the wrong ( not ford). It was about an inch taller.

2008 F250 XLT SBCC grey flake, 33x12.50 Toyo m/t's on 18 inch mammoth wheels. Rhino lined go rhino nerf bars. S&B cai,Spartan tuned and straight piped. Fake *** chrome grille removed and a matching colored grille put in place.

i have mine, same boat dont off road much. mine came with a clamp that goes over the handle thing to ensure no accidental openings. no issues thus far.

I have had mine for about 40k miles IIRC. Every 3rd oil change I put my original plug back in since it is magnetic (but never found any metal on it anyways), but I have never had an issue it. I don't go mud boggin with the truck, but it has been in the fields and off-road as needed when hunting, riding ATVs, or hot shotting and pickin up equipment in the fields.

2008 F350 ZF6 daily driver
No Limits CAI and every air mod, MM w/ GH, DPF/CAT delete 5", Sean's 4" DP, SB DD 3850, Coolant Filter, Bushwacker flares, 2.5" Icon level, SD inserts tailgate/grill, PMF Tbars w/ 5" block, Elite EGR delete, Junior High Power Atmo, ARP studs, A-1000 (Marty's), Fuel Bowl Delete, 15% nozzles, Tial WG

explain more about your oil cap please......why not buy ford oil filters and use original oil cap ?

I purchased this truck in october from a Jeep dealership. This is the second oil change I have done.. I do use ford filters and that's all . I had a 6.0 and have used ford with it and will continue too. Last time I change oil I didn't pay attention to the oil filter cap. I was having an oil pressure light come on and was looking into ways to fix the issue. Thus an early oil change and I had already changed out the sensor. Ordered a new cap off ebay and made sure I ordered a ford one. That's how I found out there was a difference in caps. The one I took off was wix I think and was about an inch taller.

Happen to have a pic of your valve on your oil pan? I have been considering one if these.

I have the fumoto valve too, and when I bought my truck it had a WIX cap on it which I wasn't aware of. The front axle is much lower than the valve so that puts me at ease. Ordered a new oil cap too and replaced it with the Ford one. I only use ford filters. The valve is awesome and makes oil changes so easy.
