6.0 to cummins 5.9 maybe 6.4 now

I had an 04 6.0 and at 102k needed to replace injectors and turbo went out, so I went and traded for a 5.9 cummins. Absolutely hate the auto tranny and the ride is deff. not that of a ford. How are these 6.4s treating people that work them hard. I farm and put pickups to the test. Also what about the standard transmissions. Not sure what I want to do but I am thinking of getting out of the dodge next year some time.

Of the two trannies, the auto is stronger. The 6.4 works hard. The only real problem is **** mileage.

The the torqshift in the 6.4 is much stronger than the dodge trans. I wouldnt hesitate to buy an 05 up 6.0 either

i think its like swing or miss with trucks..some are good, some arent. my buddy just picked up an 06 3500 with a 5.9 rides great. but not as smooth as my dads 05 350

my buddiest 02 2500 with a 24valve on 20s with 33s rides smoother then my 03 250
