How do I know if I have TPMS system

I have a job I 08 F250 manufactured early in 2007 - I'm pretty sure I do not have the TPMS system. I don't see indicators on the dash, and I don't see much referenced in the manuals regarding the tire pressure system.

Getting ready to add larger tires, and two installers that I have called for quotes so far have indicated a strong suspicion that all of the '08s have this system.

Is there any way I can tell for sure aside from taking a tire off of a wheel to look for a sensor?

It only works if you let the air out of all 4.

There would be an indicator on the dash. You'd see it light up momentarily every time you start the truck. It kinda looks like a tire with an exclamation mark in the center. If you don't have this, you don't have TPMS. I'm fairly certain it was optional on Job 1s, but not standard equipment till Job 2.

I don't know if it has a censor. Some older cars that have it like my 03 impala had magnets that mesured each tires distance traveled in one revolution and when onestarted going a longer distance then the rest the low tire pressure light would come on.

BTw my 03 impala LS is up for sale. Loaded with everything, leather, cd, v6, power seats, windows, locks and cruise. Black with alloy rims. $7,900 OBO if anyone is interested for a good family car.

The TPMS system started with the Job 2 trucks, and only one tire has to be low. Something like 50psi

I would imagine that if you have your window sticker it would indicate the TPMS option on there. I know that I don't have it, I've had my tires down to 15 lbs for some fun on the beach and I got no warning lights on my Job 1.

I'm pretty sure its not listed on the window sticker on Job 2 or later trucks because its standard equipment.

It might be in the "standard equipment" section as opposed to the options?
Also, if you have it, you NEED the TPMS fob for re-calibrating the system after tire rotation or replacement...
