egr delete

Hi guys. thinking of doing the egr delete sometime in the future. I live in sask, Canada. I wanted your opinion on something. Theres a pretty big "reputable" diesel performance shop here in Saskatchewan. Just wanted your advice. First I asked how much for an oil cooler swap. Only because Ive been getting the odd wrench light and it could be a problem in the future. They told me they haven't had to do an oil cooler on a 6.4. Not really a problem with the 6.4. Really? Not what I heard. And they quoted me $1400 before taxes to do an egr delete, sinister or flo pro. Seems pretty damn expensive , considering the kit is like 3-350 bucks. Idk . what you guys think????

The EGR delete is pretty labor intensive. If they lift the cab it shouldn't take more than an hour (after the cab is lifted). Otherwise it took me about 8 hours by myself in my driveway.

I've been quoted about $550 for an EGR delete. 1400 seems high, although it is labor intensive like said before because of the different components blocking the lower EGR cooler.

I tackled mine with a buddy in the driveway. It was a bit frustrating but took 8 hours with really taking our time. I would save your money and just do it yourself.

That was like me, everything went well until it came time for the lower cooler to come out. It was hell but it can be done.
