Replacement alternator

What are you guys finding that will turn off the Light. I was looking at ds power but the one i want they are out of stock. Where is everyone goring for the Ford reman. units? Ive read here that if you go with a local autoparts store chances are your alt. light wont go off so i want to do this right the first time.

I just put one in my truck a few months ago. I went with the ford part. The available alternators were in stock were all junk from the auto parts stores, and it was going to be several days to order in a good one. Ford had it for me the next day. The price difference was only $15 more to go with ford. It was a no brainer for me. I'm not sure about the light staying on with the aftermarket alternators. That's the first I've heard of that.
