New 6.4 Tuesday

Hi guys,
Picking up an 08 King Ranch on tuesday, with 105,000 miles on it and its in excellent shape. Just wondering on what some of the first things I should do are. I know with the 6.0, it was a completely different ball park with what mods had to be done first and there weakness points. I was planning on buying an sct when I get back into town with it, but was wondering how it would hold running a extreme tune from vivan with dpf still on and egr still in, Any help or insight is very much appreciated as I've been browsing the 6.4 forums for a little while now getting any help I can.

Thanks!

Get an SCT 9625OR or an 3015R get some gearhead tunes on it or get an H&S a Race tuner or an Spartan, Delete the Cat/DPF an EGR, and get an CAI an never look back....

I wouldn't recommend tuning with the dpf still in place

Love the spartan tuner, just really don't want to raise my visa limit to get one after dropping some cash on this truck. So I was thinking sct as I had that on my 6.0L and my mustang and loved it. Where is the best place to find the 3015R that? I was hoping to just grab a normal 3015 at a local store but I guess thats not an option since I want to do the dpf delete. Is it worth just getting the dpf delete pipe and cutting the dual tips at the end and tossing a new tip on? Trying to avoid doing the whole exhaust and since the piping is already 4 inches I assume, then don't see much of a point. EGR I was going to do when spring came around as we have to much snow and cold here in Canada atm, and with no warm shop to work in, I don't really want to freeze haha! Any help is much appreciated!

You can find the SCT race tuners on ebay or just ask around on here, an you can get a full new exhaust for around less than 300 if ya look around.

Oh perfect! Best to get a bungles one or should I be hooked some of the stuff back in and get one with bungs? Need to keep it quiet if possible as I live around a bunch of old people who love calling the cops on my vehicles.

Thanks!

The SCT needs the sensors plugged in but you can go with out bungs an just zip tie the sensors up, an 6.4s aren't nearly as loud as the 6.0s are straight piped
