turbo issues?

My new stock turbo only has 20k on it. Usually when I shut my truck down if I'm walking around back I can hear the turbo spool down for a good 10 seconds and it fairly loud. Last night I noticed when I shut it off I did not hear the spool down. I started it off shut it down again ran to the back and the spool down was much quicker and very quiet. Didn't hear and grinding noise and truck has been running great. I took the intake off. The wheel spun very freely and shaft play was minimal. Any ideas??

other than the sound are you noticing any different in performace?

No nothing. Exhaust sounds normal all other times. Plenty of boost fuel economy the same too

I wish it was. There is definitely a difference in sound

Different tune? The position of your VGT when you go to shut it off can effect this

I did recently change tranny tunes on h&s. Its done this the last 4 times I shut It off now of coarse I checked again its back to normal. Hopefully just the vgt position like you said. Its not like I have listened to it every time I shut it down but do hear it quite often specially if there is no traffic or a quiet day. So it was weird to not hear it now that I'm paying attention. Thanks for the replays I'm sure everything is fine.
